Special Announcement by Duncan Barrie, General Manager, Nonlinear Dynamics

I am pleased to announce that as of today, Nonlinear Dynamics has become a part of Waters Corporation. Waters and Nonlinear Dynamics began partnering nearly two years ago on a new informatics software product called TransOmics™, the first versions of which were released last year for the Waters® SYNAPT® G2-S High Definition Mass Spectrometer.

Based on my experience, I can tell you that Waters’ level of understanding of the needs of proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics researchers is second to none. Their track record of innovation in the areas of liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and informatics speaks for itself.

Waters is firmly committed to Progenesis LC-MS and Progenesis CoMet as the premier data analysis software for extracting fundamental information from ‘omics data sets – whatever the source. Augmented by Waters’ financial and technical resources, the future of Nonlinear Dynamics and Progenesis are in very good hands, indeed.

Therefore, the levels of personal service, product support, development and expertise you have come to expect from the team at Nonlinear Dynamics will not change. We will continue to operate without interruption out of our facilities in Newcastle on Tyne.

As part of the purchase and sales agreement, responsibility for the sale and support of the Progenesis SameSpots software for 2D gel electrophoresis image analysis will be transferred to our sister company, TotalLab. SameSpots customers will be notified soon of new support contact details.

Finally, I would like to thank you for the success of Progenesis and Nonlinear over the years. I deeply appreciate the opportunity you have given the Nonlinear team to work with you – your vote of confidence in us is much appreciated. I am confident that Waters Corporation, and the people at Nonlinear you have put your trust in, will be equally successful in looking after your needs going forwards.

Further information on the transition will be forthcoming in the days ahead. In the meantime, your individual Nonlinear Dynamics technical representative is available to answer any questions you may have.

Thank you again, and I wish you all the best.

Sincerely,

Duncan Barrie
